Where is the Place of Young People in Nation Building?

"The youth is the hope of our future" said Jose Rizal. This and many other writings underscore the place of the youth in national building. Young people are spontaneous and adventurous. They're energetic and more responsive to change. This features give them the responsibility of driving positive change, which is a function of nation building. If you were to be a contractor who would you rather assign to supply blocks around? A young person right? Yes, young people are supposed to be given the shovel, helmets and boots to build the kind of country they want their children to live in- their dream country. I cannot undermine the place if the old. They should advice and suggest and coach, but work on the ground is our responsibility.
